Good Livin'

Last night our friends the Dal Portos came over for a home cooked meal. I took some "before" shots of the cheese board, lasagna, and dessert (somehow the salad didn't get photographed) but forgot to take pictures of actual people enjoying the food. Too much drinking, not enough picture snapping. Oops. Maybe next time...

Valentine's Day

Brian makes the best sun dried tomato, basil, asiago, and balsamic risotto I've ever tasted. So imagine my excitement when he informed me that our Valentine's dinner would be this delicious dish! Accompanied with a bottle of 2001 Sunstone Eros, I gobbled down more risotto than any human should ever intake in a lifetime and thoroughly enjoyed every gluttonous moment of it. For dessert, I made oatmeal walnut chocolate chip cookies, Brian's favorite. After the week he had in Texas with tornado warnings and rain storms, we enjoyed our Valentine's Day by watching movies and relaxing.
